| Abstract |
In this talk, I will introduce the monotone simplicial complexes by using the concept of Monotone paths, firstly introduced by Erdos and Szekers. I will discuss various construction of graphs for which the face ring iand facet ideal of the respective monotone simplicial complex is Cohen-Macaulay and Sequentially Cohen-Macaulay respectively.
