| Abstract |
The theory of deformations is a useful tool to study singularities. It can be used to define the modality and especially simple singularities (modality 0). The canonical equivalence for parameterized curve singularities is right-left equivalence. Arnold classified hypersurface singularities with respect to right equivalence. The classification of the parametrizations depends very much on the characteristic of the base field. In characteristic 0, the classification of space curves is given by Gibson and Hobbs. We present an idea to give the corresponding classification in characteristic p>0.
