Title Fuzzy set theory, Intuitionistic fuzzy set theory, Rough set theory
Speaker Ghulam Murtaza
Abstract

A life without ambiguities seems a strange supposition. As uncertainties are an integral part of real world problems, it is very natural to  deal with uncertainties and imprecise data in various situations. New mathematical theories such as probability theory, fuzzy set theory, intuitionistic fuzzy set theory, rough set theory have been introduced by mathematicians and computer scientists to handle the problems dealing with the uncertainties and imprecision of real world models. Besides merits of these theories, they have their certain inherited weaknesses. The problems in existing theories have been successfully resolved by soft set theory. This is a new area of research and requires a thorough study to establish a good foundation of this theory. The application of soft set theory is decision making problems based on parameter reduction. We will carry out our investigations in this direction. Also the proposed project is to remove the áaws in the existing theory of soft set such as results in soft metric spaces. In this way, this project also initiates an appropriate basis for soft metric Öxed point theory.
