The study of parameterizations of singularities go back to Oscar Zariski (1899-1986), a famous American Mathematician. Parametrizations of plane curve singularities were studied by Bruce and Gaffeny. They classified the simple parameterized plane curve singularities over the complex numbers. The aim of this talk is to explain the classification of simple and non simple parameterized space curve. The proof of Gibson and Hobbs cannot be generalized to characteristic p. We will discuss some new techniques which can be used also for the classification in characteristic p.
